German website does not show umlauts

Hi guys

Why does Contao not want to show the umlauts? I have tried to save them in Filemanager but then it changes automatically..

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

the file manager replaces the German Umlaute by "regular" characters. The means "ä" becomes "ae", "Ü" becomes "Ue", "ß" becomes "ss" etc. As far as I know you can not turn off this behavior. The only workaround is to upload files directly to tl_files folder by FTP. But I didn't try if the Umlaute work then.
