Will Gallery be ready for contao 3 any time soon??

I was wondering (and hoping) that the gallery extension will be ready for contao 3
This is such an important module, just can't work without it.

Thyon has left Contao and will no longer support his extensions.

Is there a good alternative for the gallery?
Properly integrated?

Or maye someone is taking over the development of the gallery ext?
