Liveupdate ID
I am new to contato and just trying to understand the ins and outs of the software. However I need to update to the latest version (i have version 2.10.4 ...) and it requires a LIVEUPDATE ID !
can anyone tell me where i can get it?
One more question.. are there any books in English which could help me speed up my learning of contao?

DO not bother. I found out how and got the Liveupdate ID. Still need the info about the books

I did try to update with live update ID but at some it stopped and asked for the password to access the tool from version 2 to 3, which I don't have! How do I get that? Now the website is down and I am stuck!

Did you make a backup before running the update process so that you could switch back in case something goes wrong?

In general, it is not a good idea to make major updates on a live or productive web site.

For the matter of books, I am not aware of any in English. Printed books as far I know are available only in German (I personally recommend Peter Muellers' "Contao - Das umfassende Handbuch" - https://www.rheinwerk-verlag.de/contao-3_3682/).
