What can be safely deleted after manual update?

Hi all

i'm maintaining a Contao installation and want to do a manual update as described on the Contao website here: https://contao.org/en/manual/3.0/instal ... ual-update

After the synchronization preview with WinSCP i get hundrets of files WinSCP wants to delete. Is it save to let WinSCP delete them all? Are there files that i have to keep?

I always delete the files that came with the zip file and all tmp/cache files. The only exception is /system/config. I leave that intact. You could potentially also experience problems with plugins that are used in the frontend (lightboxes and such). I know that I added a slider once that could not work with the newest mootools. So when updating I made sure I kept the old mootools that did work with other new js plugins.
